Born in London and now based in Washington, DC, Iliad studied Fine Arts under the minimalist master Anne Truitt, and holds a Master’s in Architecture from the University of Maryland. As Design Principal of alfa8, an award-winning design and innovation firm, he pioneers hybrid concepts blending architecture, poetics, traditional media, artificial intelligence, and large language models to shape new forms of immersive, interactive experiences.

Iliad’s work is held in private collections and international exhibitions, known for its emotionally resonant, philosophically rich, and deeply meditative nature. From early childhood, he received visions—fully formed paintings and symbolic narratives that emerged in vivid detail. These inner journeys evolved into a lifelong artistic practice that merges intuition with layered meaning. His process is one of co-creation with the canvas, often likened to casting an oracle—painting as divination, painting as healing.

Drawing on the visual abstract narratives of Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey, Iliad crafts a deeply personal yet universal exploration of the self and collective through layered symbolism and archetype.
