I left him there, among tall trees in the rain, as pain fell like shards of cold in the dark of night. Only a struggling flame in the night illuminated the trees and the forest, and his face, quietly and silently struggling to overcome.
Life is but a sliver of light in the eternity of darkness. What comes before us is as haunting as what comes after us, and within this ocean is the light that is forever glowing. How little do we know of this flame, of this star? This painting is about the journey and quest to seek that light, to never give up.
So, I painted this to remind him that I will always fly with him toward the light hidden in the forest
